This week we jump into Rum, and are joined by a guest producer Matt Becker. We start off with a discussion of hangovers, since Stephen tends to get hungover from this particular fine beverage.
We also talk about some the classic ways that rum is used by mixologists, and where many people start with Rum.
John mixes up a bit of Grog, by blending some Rum with a Peach home brewed beer…
We, however, mix up some tasty Mojito’s and reminisce about summers in Havana..
Bill and I play the positive/negative game, Bill talks about the history of Rum, including some pretty nasty stories about cannibalistic rum drinkers..
We open a couple of very special Rum’s. First a Angostura 1824 from Trinidad Tobago and then a Costa Rican Rum, Ron Centenario Conmemorativo, both of which are delicious and tasty.
